On cue

From my vantage point, it seems as if political correctness, and the insistence on conformity to it, are intensifying. For instance, on Tumblr, with those of college age and younger it seems as if their racial attitudes are becoming more intolerant and anti-White. Scan through their blogs and when you look through their own descriptions of their blogs, you’ll see belligerent statements something like this: ”This blog is not for Nazis and Haters. Stay the F— away if you are one of those.”

Other bloggers’ statements threaten those deemed “fascists’ or ‘bigots’ with being reported if they attempt to ‘follow’ any of the self-righteous SJWs and melanophiles.

Am I the only one who is sick of the never-ending bombardment with this kind of shrill rhetoric and the truculent attitude? There is truly no escape unless you are able to remove yourself to some remote spot where there is no commercial radio or TV and no phones. Otherwise everywhere you look, you are surrounded by advertising which is not meant to sell products so much as to embed someone else’s ideas in your brain and psyche. And it works, judging by what we are seeing and hearing. Being honest we have to admit that even people who are ‘conservative’ on the surface somehow harbor some very left-wing or liberal ideas, thanks to the ubiquitous media programming. This is especially true of social issues, and unfortunately it’s there, on the social issues, where the battle is really being waged. Many self-described conservatives are liberal to all-out leftist in everything but economic issues.

It’s very wearying to be surrounded, via the media and the ‘masses’, with the harsh, ugly, gutter rhetoric that is the trademark of the left. Unfortunately that has also crossed over to the right and it’s hardly possible to hear civilized discourse from either side. And I never imagined, even 10 or so years ago, that we’d hear someone address the President of the United States as ”B—h” in a public message. These verbal assailants are people of no breeding, no class; they respect no one. It used to be that in order to be a public figure one had to at least pretend to be polite, civil, and respectful. Now, most public personalities behave like rabble. And it is dragging our society down to a brutish level. It’s sort of like the old ‘Broken Windows’ theory of society: if you don’t maintain the small things, then everything falls to neglect and decay; it’s not just buildings but all of life is affected, including manners and ultimately our spiritual life as a people.

But the worst is the lies with which the left assaults us every day. The lies are brazen, patently false, and yet they seem to be believed by too many Americans. Being subjected to nonstop lies daily is demoralizing in the extreme — and that’s probably why it’s so intensive now.

And here’s something else I am noticing: as of now it’s bad enough that we are silenced, and the truth is banished from the public square. Even though the realists among us have facts and data to back up the veracity of our assertions and beliefs, we are not allowed to have our say. The censors who stifle our speech and writing, insist that ”the truth is no defense”, as some imbecile judge in the UK said in a ‘Free speech’ court case. Needless to say, the truth lost.

But the current situation may not be the end of it. I notice that a lot of the hard-core enemies of truth now insist that people have to make some affirmative statement of support or solidarity with whatever designated hero or martyr of the day.

Being silent is gradually being treated as suspicious. It may be as it was in the days of the old Soviet bloc countries, where one had to praise the ‘fearless leader’ or the ideological ‘heroes’ of the left. Being silent, even being lukewarm, might get you reported for thought crimes, disloyalty, or whatever bogus accusation.

Or just as in the book of Daniel in the Bible, it was required to worship the King when the music was sounded. You had to acknowledge the authority and power and possibly the ‘divinity’ of the Leader, or the God-King. Is that where we’re going? Do we in fact have a royal or privileged caste to whom we have to offer praise?

Someone on Tumblr, in an attempt to pressure people who might be lukewarm on the ‘social justice’ question, posted a quote from Desmond Tutu, with the accompanying message that ‘‘Being neutral on a moral issue is being on the side of Evil.” Hence those who don’t bow down when they hear the cue are ‘on the side of Evil.’ It seems to me that somebody is now succeeding in making the masses see evil as good and good, as evil.

As of now, it seems like few have the courage or the inclination to challenge those who want to control our thoughts and stifle our political expression. But as long as we are not coerced into kowtowing under duress or threats, that’s something.

Once we are required to offer some kind of pro forma tribute or praise then we will no longer have the right to keep our thoughts private. To require verbal compliance, even if it is insincere is to trespass on our right to our own thoughts and beliefs and opinions. We need to be vigilant when it comes to complying with people who would control us.

Enough evidence?

Al Fin’s post here cites some evidence in the form of a leaked dossier out of China, suggesting that the Covid virus did originate in a Chinese lab, and if the information is true, that it was engineered for certain qualities:

“To examine the emergence potential (that is, the potential to infect humans) of circulating bat CoVs, we built a chimeric virus encoding a novel, zoonotic CoV spike protein — from the RsSHCO14-CoV sequence that was isolated from Chinese horseshoe bats — in the context of the SARS-CoV mouse-adapted backbone,” the study states.

One of Dr Shi’s co-authors on that paper, Professor Ralph Baric from North Carolina University, said in an interview with Science Daily at the time: “This virus is highly pathogenic and treatments developed against the original SARS virus in 2002 and the ZMapp drugs used to fight ebola fail to neutralise and control this particular virus.”

Read the whole post. I realize that this claim might be greeted with more skepticism on the part of those who have their minds made up in advance — people, sadly, tend to believe what they wish to believe. But I keep wondering why so many people are reluctant to assume anything but benign or neutral motives on the part of those involved in this. To me it seems just the latest manifestation of Political Correctness on the part of the “just an unfortunate accident” faction. How many coincidences can a reasonable person accept? Infinite numbers? Somewhere there has to be a possibility of intent on the part of somebody. Or?

On some blog where the respectable ‘conservatives’ gather somebody tsk-tsked about the suggestion of a deliberate creation of the virus. The plea they made was that ”remember, it’s just the government, not the people.” It’s very much like the favorite Churchian saying ‘love the sinner, hate the sin.” Which is nowhere in the Bible, but it’s the respectable thing to say, so that no human being can be held accountable for anything. Stuff just happens, without any human intent or moral agency on the part of anyone. Very handy, then we can be safely resigned and passive because no one is to blame.

Meantime it seems a lot of people are in favor of everybody hiding from the lurking virus which is waiting to pounce on us as soon as we open our doors, while some are visibly chafing under the restrictions on our movements as well as the bans on religious events, etc. Who’s keeping watch over our jeopardized liberties?

My misgivings were valid

Or so it appears now, what with Trump’s launching of missile strikes on Syria. Now we can watch Lindsey Graham and John McCain gloat over getting what they wanted, and we get to hear Newt Gingrich’s smug statements about the ‘decisive action’ Trump is taking.

Praise from that bunch is equivalent to anathema, from my perspective. And it seems a lot of people on the alt-right agree with my feelings about this, while many of the ‘true believer’ diehards are sticking by Trump — but these seem mostly in the GOP faithful category. Like the FReeper who posted this, in response to those disenchanted with the ‘god-emperor”:

To: TrumpisRight

All the anti-Trump drama queens around here tonight should be listening to Newt on Fox right now.

He just said this is a historic week. Gorsuch confirmed, successful meetings with Egypt and Jordan, meeting today wirh China, and decisive action in Syria that just made Russia, Iran, Syria and NK take notice. Newt said Trump has a strong SoS, SecDef, and NSA and Trump is stronger than all of them. People trashing Trump tonight need to just get a life.”

I’ve not posted much about the Trump administration and their doings. I voted for Trump with some misgivings; I was not pleased to see the coterie of neocons and globalist-types that Trump gathered around him, and it seems as if one by one he was backing off his promises or half-promises, caving on too many important things. I refrained from blogging about that, hoping these things would just be aberrations, but it seems they were not.

Is Trump the passive victim of a ‘coup,’ as some say? Is he being ”played”, duped, given bad advice by the crowd of wormtongues around him, or is he consciously participating in a preplanned operation?

Early on I began to wonder: what if? What if he is a participant in some kind of psyops directed at the right, probably at the alt-right, as the media seemed obsessed with calling attention to the ‘evil, fascist’ alt-right during the campaign? Might the powers-that-be not have purposely run a candidate that could be made to appeal to the nationalist, non-PC, anti-globalist right wing, so much feared (it seems) by TPTB? By running a candidate that would give signals that he supported a populist, nationalist right agenda, maybe they thought they could corral and ‘tame’ such a movement, or co-opt it, making the alt-right feel they had a stake in ‘the system’, in mainstream politics, rather than in opposing the system.

They could thus de-fang the feared alt-right/populist right and, when the latter inevitably found out they were being gaslighted and fooled, disillusionment and demoralization would follow, and maybe a schism in the non-PC right, or even amongst the harmless, ‘cucked’ GOP, who would likewise break down into dissension and thus spend their energy in infighting (pro-Trump loyalists vs. disillusioned ex-Trump supporters). Or maybe I have read too many ‘conspiracy’ oriented speculations, and become too cynical.

Maybe we’ll never know. I do think our trust was betrayed, though as I said I was a skeptic already.

Meantime we have to wonder if this Syria thing will lead to war with Russia, and for Christians, whether this is the ‘Gog-Magog’ scenario we’re embarking on.
